Our three spacious guest rooms, each with its own shower and sink, offer an oasis of comfort and privacy. The view of the tree-lined canal 'Pauwvaart' adds a touch of serenity to your stay.
Breakfast, served in the original painted dining room on the ground floor, is a true culinary experience. We offer an extensive range, including organic and vegetarian products, to start your day well. Gluten-free, vegan or lactose-free available upon request.
What makes our bed & breakfast really special is the personal touch. After years of traveling around the world, I bring the best ideas home and integrate them into our hospitality. My passion for different cultures and culinary traditions is palpable in every aspect of our home.
A really wonderful B&B, one of the best I’ve stayed in, in a long time. The host was amazing and prepared an incredible breakfast for us each morning. The house is older and full of cool items she collected over the years. The one downside is the rooms do have showers and sinks, but the toilet is across the hall, although it is private.
What a beautiful, characterful and warm b&b and only 5-10 minutes walking to the center of Ghent. The breakfast was abundant and amazing with delicious homemade applecake and cookies and jams and organic products. Sitting with the other guests at a long table, very cozy. Michaëla is a very gentle and great host.
Alles perfekt! Michäela hat uns herzlich in ihrem tollen Haus empfangen und uns alles gut erklärt. Die Zimmer sind individuell und speziell eingerichtet, grosszügig und ruhig. Das WC ist separat aber für uns alleine. Frühstück sehr lecker und sehr grosszügig, es fehlt an nichts. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!
Heerlijk lang weekend gehad bij Michaëla en haar familie in de mooie en leuke stad Gent. De gastvrijheid was enorm en we voelden ons zeer welkom en gewenst. We hebben genoten van de overdaad bij elk ontbijt, de warme douches op de eigen zeer ruime kamer en ook de toiletten waren mooi proper. Het hele huis was trouwens enorm.
Es un lugar especial para gente que busca algo diferente a un hotel anónimo, con tele, ascensor y servicio de habitaciones. Si no te gusta un entorno autentico, si no quieres subir escaleras, si no quieres tener unas conversaciones acerca de las culturas del mundo y si solo desayunas galletas, no vayas a este lugar.
Super vriendelijke gastvrouw/heer, zeer uitgebreid ontbijt en de kamers waren zeer netjes. Perfecte ligging 5 min lopend van het station en 10 min van het oude centrum van Gent! Het is een oud herenhuis, de planken kraken, vele oude elementen bewaard. Echt een wow factor! Het was super! Een echte aanrader! Wij komen terug!
Het was een fantastisch weekend, met een geweldige gastvrouw en erg leuk gezelschap aan de ontbijttafel. We hopen zeker nog eens terug te komen. De ligging is ook perfect met leuke restaurantjes in de buurt. Een trendy en levendige buurt, rustig en toch vlakbij het toeristische oude centrum.
Wat een vriendelijke ontvangst door Michaëla, onze ‘culinaire gastvrouw’ Alles was geweldig georganiseerd. Inclusief een uitstekend ontbijt in een gezellige sfeer uit alle bereisde landen! Mooie mix met design in Scandinavische sfeer, Afrika, Azië en Zuid-Amerika. Jammer dat het nog te koud was voor het kleine zwembad.
We had a lovely 3-night stay at Big Sleep in Ghent. The rooms are cozy, unique and spacious. Michaela made us feel very welcome and we felt spoiled with an amazing breakfast in the morning. We also enjoyed the beautiful property and the many memories of various travels. We really hope we’d be able to stay here again in future!
